ד"ר ערן סגל
אני חוקר של מדינות המפרץ הערביות (סעודיה, כווית, בחריין, קטאר, האמירויות ועומאן). אני בוגר 3 תארים בחוג אותם למדתי ברצף (2008-1996). מאז תחילת התואר השני (1999) אני מלמד בחוג, תחילה כמתרגל ובהמשך כעמית הוראה. אני מלמד כיום גם באקדמית עמק יזרעאל ובמכללת לוינסקי. בשנת 2008 הצטרפתי למרכז עזרי לחקר איראן ומדינות המפרץ כעמית מחקר ואני משמש כיום כמתאם האקדמי של המרכז. אני עוסק במחקריי בהבנת צמיחת המדינה במפרץ בדגש על שאלות סוציו-פוליטיות כגון יחסי אליטות, השתתפות פוליטית, והשפעת קבוצות שונות כמו סוחרים, שבטים וכד'. כמו כן אני עוסק בהיסטוריוגרפיה ובהבנת השינויים והמגמות בכתיבה ההיסטורית. אני בעל תעודת הוראה בהיסטוריה ומלמד מאז שנת 2015 בבית הספר בן גוריון-פיינברג בפתח תקווה מגמה ייחודית אשר מתמקדת באיראן ובחקר המזרח התיכון.
