Dr. Mansur is a senior ambassador in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As part of his diplomatic work, he held a variety of positions, including Israeli ambassador in Brazil, ambassador in Ecuador (in the age of 35, the youngest ambassador in the history of the state), general consul in Atlanta, vice ambassador in Portugal, and consul in San-Francisco.
Ambassador Mansur holds a PhD in Middle-Eastern history from the University of Haifa. His research focuses on the modern history of Syria. In addition, he has a certification for public administration from the Kennedy School of Harvard University, and completed a Spanish semester in Salamanca University, Spain. Mansur speaks five languages and was a senior instructor and lecturer in the College for National Security and Emori University, USA.
Ambassador Mansur won many awards for his diplomatic work, among them the President and Prime Minister Award for the year 2011, the Kuvitzuk Medal, the national award of the Judo-American Committee’s President, and the Martin Luther King Board of Governors award from Morehouse University.
Alongside his activity in foreign affairs, Dr. Mansur is also a poet and author who published four Hebrew poetry books. He won the Miller award for poetry and the Recommended Story prize in Ha’aretz’ short story competition.
