אני היסטוריון חברתי-תרבותי של המזרח התיכון. השלמתי את לימודי הדוקטורט שלי באוניברסיטה העברית ב-2018. כרגע אני עמית מחקר באוניברסיטת חיפה לאחר שחזרתי משנת פוסט-דוקטורט באוניברסיטת באזל באדיבות מלגת מצוינות של ממשלת שווייץ.

תחומי העניין שלי כוללים היסטוריה חברתית ותרבותית של תורכיה המודרנית והשפעתה של האימפריה העות’מאנית עליהן; מקומה של הדת בתורכיה המודרנית; ארץ ישראל בשלהי התקופה העות’מאנית; לאומיות ובניית אומה במזרח התיכון ולימודי זיכרון.

I am a cultural historian of the Middle East. I hold a PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Haifa after returning from a year at the University of Basel, where I was a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship (ESKAS) fellow.

My research and teaching interests include the cultural and social history of modern Turkey and its roots in the late Ottoman Empire; the place of Islam in modern Turkey; late Ottoman Palestine; nationalism and nation building processes in the Middle East; and memory studies.
